Villa Ambra is an exclusive private retreat set on an extraordinary 45-metre stretch of beach. Situated in the laidback tropical enclave of Canggu on the west coast of Bali, this villa is well positioned for reaching the airport, whilst being far enough away from the crowds.

Villa Ambra has 5 luxurious bedrooms, all with stunning ocean views. Each room has been uniquely designed and individually furnished with a combination of contemporary design and Indonesian style. All living areas are aligned to the beach, with the sea and the skies dominating the panoramic vistas, ideal to take in Bali’s exceptional sunsets.

Two lounge areas are positioned to capture the ocean breeze and feature on the upper floor and the ground floor. The latter leads out to two interconnected pools; a 100m infinity pool and a shallow 21m children’s pool. Within the tropical landscaped gardens sits an 8-person Jacuzzi, as well as plentiful sunloungers and shaded day beds.

Villa Ambra has 3 gourmet chefs in situ, who are skilled in culinary delights from authentic Indonesian to other Asian offerings and classic Western dishes.

During a stay at Villa Ambra, guests may choose a selection of their favourite foods, soft drinks and alcohols, which will be picked up by your butler and delievered to the chefs. The butler purchases produce from local markets and delicatessens, and food is charged at the buying rate plus a 15% handling fee – which is generally far less expensive than visiting a restaurant, particularly given the high quality cooking.

Whether its foie gras, caviar, Australian waygu or European live lobsters, if it’s available in Bali, Villa Ambra’s butler will source it. The villa features suggested menus but chefs operate very much in line with guests’ desires.

Canggu is situated on Bali’s west coast, roughly 40 minutes from Denpasar international airport. Indonesia’s iconic scenery runs wild here, with rice paddies, rainforest and rivers making up much of the landscape. Canggu offers a taste of the “Old Bali”, blending a low-key fishing village vibe with a myriad of up-and-coming bars and restaurants.

A kilometre’s walk along the shore from Villa Ambra, guests will find the beautiful Echo Beach, made famous by Martha and the Muffins in 1979. This beach is known for its sensational surf, so whether guests want to take to the waves, go horseriding on the sand, swim or try fishing, all of this and more is on offer.

The dedicated villa staff double up as a concierge and can arrange all sorts of activities elsewhere, including mountain biking, hiking or rafting. A driver is on hand to take guests wherever they please, to the world famous temples, rice paddies, volcanoes, lakes and lush forested interiors of Bali.
