Kailana Premier is an 8-cabin expedition yacht offering private charters across the Indonesian archipelago, sailing to Komodo, Raja Ampat, and the Banda Sea.

Originally built as an ocean-going vessel and thoughtfully reimagined between 2023 and 2025 for private cruising, she pairs the strength and stability of a steel-hulled ship with the grace and intimacy of a contemporary retreat. With eight suites and a crew of twenty-two, Kailana Premier is composed for adventurous passages into Indonesia's most remote waters, where few other vessels may follow.

Kailana Premier accommodates up to sixteen guests across eight suites set along the upper deck, each named for one of Indonesia’s great volcanoes. Several offer a choice of king-size or twin configuration, with single beds available for children on request, lending ease to families, groups of friends, or journeys spanning generations.

Every suite opens through floor-to-ceiling glass onto a private balcony, drawing in natural light and the shifting colours of the sea. Interiors are calm and considered, with adjustable air-conditioning and quiet comforts that welcome guests back after days spent in the water. Beds lie parallel to the length of the ship, easing the motion of the waves for restful nights at anchor or under way.

Each suite holds an ensuite bathroom and generous storage, its furniture and cabinetry hand-crafted by local artisans and finished with indigenous textiles and artefacts that give every room a character of its own. Two master suites at the bow and two junior suites at the stern are joined by four mid-ship suites; a sense of space and privacy rare for an expedition yacht of this scale in Indonesia.

Cabin Overview

  • 2 Master bow suites – Banda Api & Rinjani (king-size bed / the largest aboard, up to 45sqm)
  • 2 Junior stern suites – Gamalama & Agung (king-size bed / desk & sofa bench)
  • 4 mid-ship suites – Kelimutu, Misool, Tambora & Ijen (choice of king-size or twin beds)

The main deck is given over to gathering, its open-plan saloon, bar and dining room arranged so seating may be drawn together for family, friends, or quiet occasions alike. Off the main deck lie a library and camera room fitted for the care of photographic equipment, a dedicated spa for massage and treatment, and a discreet clinic should it ever be needed.

At the ocean-level back deck, guests step easily to the water for diving and swimming, while the ship’s chef draws on the freshest local ingredients to compose menus shaped around each itinerary. A lift connects the main deck to the bridge deck above, where an indoor-outdoor lounge and open-air dining terrace open to the passing sea.

The sky deck is the ship’s place of repose, with a Jacuzzi, daybeds and sun-warmed teak for sunsets, stargazing, or yoga at first light. For exploration, Kailana Premier carries three tenders alongside kayaks, paddleboards, wakeboards, water skis, surfboards and full diving and snorkelling equipment, giving every journey both depth and freedom.

Our Destinations

Raja Ampat

Situated off the coast of West Papua, Raja Ampat is a chain of 1,500 jungle-clad islands with limestone cliffs, white sand beaches and luminous turquoise seas. Known as one of the most biodiverse marine regions on earth, its reefs host an extraordinary variety of coral and fish.

Days unfold between quiet bays, sweeping coral gardens and karst peaks that offer panoramic views across the archipelago. Even above the waterline, the landscapes feel wild, sculptural and untouched, with hidden coves and lagoons only accessible by tender.

Private yacht routes here often extend into neighbouring regions such as Maluku, Triton Bay and Cenderawasih, revealing remote anchorages, serene beaches and moments of deep stillness in one of Indonesia’s most remarkable frontiers.

Komodo

Situated east of Bali and Sumbawa, Komodo National Park is a rugged chain of islands shaped by volcanic ridges, pink-sand beaches and clear, dramatic seas. Home to the famed Komodo dragon, this UNESCO-listed region offers landscapes that feel raw, ancient and untamed.

Above water, rolling hills, savannah grasslands and quiet inlets create a shifting palette of ochres and greens. Beneath the surface, nutrient-rich currents support manta rays, coral gardens and thriving marine life, making Komodo one of Indonesia’s most varied cruising grounds.

Private yacht journeys here unfold between secluded bays, sunset ridges and remote dive sites, often combining nearby regions such as Sumbawa or Flores. Anchorages are peaceful, the scenery cinematic, and the sense of remoteness unmistakable.

Spice Islands

The Spice Islands, known historically as the Moluccas, sit at the crossroads of ancient trade routes and early maritime exploration. Once the world’s only source of nutmeg and cloves, these islands retain a rich cultural legacy shaped by sultans, traders and centuries of seafaring.

The landscapes are gentle and green, with quiet villages, preserved forts and volcanic silhouettes rising over sheltered bays. Coral reefs ring many of the smaller isles, offering warm, clear waters that feel far from the bustle of modern Indonesia.

Yacht itineraries through Maluku often include Banda, Kei or Seram, unfolding between cinnamon-coloured coastlines, historic anchorages and reefs alive with colour. It is a region where history, and natural beauty meet in a way that feels timeless.

West Papua

West Papua stretches along the far eastern edge of Indonesia, a land of immense cultural and ecological diversity. Its coastline weaves through jungle-clad peninsulas, river deltas and remote island chains, offering a sense of scale and wildness found in few other places.

Inland, dense forests shelter ancient traditions, distinctive art forms and communities whose lives remain closely tied to their environment. Along the coast, limestone cliffs, mangroves and hidden bays create a dramatic setting for exploration by sea.

Private yacht journeys often extend through Cenderawasih Bay, Triton Bay or the remote Bird’s Head Peninsula, revealing whale sharks, karst islands and quiet waters ideal for long, unbroken days on the ocean. West Papua remains one of Indonesia’s most stirring and untouched frontiers.
